YOU ARE A BRIGHTNESS
(A Tribute to Women)
You are a brightness on the sea
of human doubts and frailty,
a beacon on a distant shore,
where none are victim any more
to senseless tides of destiny.
Those gloomy currents that may be
too silted with despondency
will not defeat you; at your core
you are a brightness!
Although at times a refugee
from all the harsh adversity
of life, you'll find, and then explore
the havens where you will restore
yourself; and all the world will see
you are a brightness!
